Utility Problems Disrupt Traffic On State Roads In Harford County
Officials say Route 23 will be closed for about two hours and Route 155 will be shut down for four hours Thursday due to utility issues.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Two state roads are experiencing closures Thursday due to problems with utilities, according to Maryland highway officials.
A utility problem on MD 23/Norrisville Road closed a section of the road Thursday morning, and the work there was expected to last into the afternoon.
All lanes are closed on Route 23 west between Jarrettsville Pike and White Hall Road, the Maryland State Highway Administration reported after 10:45 a.m.

The utility issue would require about a two-hour closure, officials said.
While the State Highway Administration reported the closure would be all lanes on Route 23 west, the Maryland Department of Transportation's Coordinated Highways Action Response Team (CHART) said the eastbound lane was functioning as a bidirectional route, allowing for traffic in both directions.

Norrisville Road is not the only state road having issues in Harford County Thursday morning.
Route 155 is closed at Glenville Road due to a utility problem as well, officials reported before 11 a.m. Phone lines in the area are being repaired, according to the State Highway Administration.
The closure on Route 155/Level Road impacts westbound traffic and will require about four hours to repair, authorities said.
