The installation said testing will occur at various times Monday through Friday, and said the operations are integral and not hazardous.

ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, MD — Residents living near Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) may hear daytime and nighttime firing this week, according to a statement from APG.

In a release, the military weapons and equipment research and testing facility said it will be firing at various times from 8:30 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on Monday through Friday. APG said operations are not hazardous to residents in surrounding communities and are "integral" to the readiness of service members.

APG further stated it will work to minimize the impact on its neighbors by monitoring weather and noise readings throughout the day.
