'Armed, Dangerous' Man Who Attacked Baby, Toddler Still At Large: HCSO

The man authorities say is armed and dangerous remains on the run after attacking 5 people Sunday, including a baby and an infant.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD ? Detectives continue to search Monday for the man they described as armed and dangerous who is accused of stabbing a baby, a toddler and three others in their Abingdon home.

Detectives believe the incident was not random, since the suspect ? Raja Zahid Maqsood, 32 ? has ties to the residents who were injured.

The victims are: Zeenat Jahan (19), Rehana Rashid (66), Sana Zahid (36), an 8-month-old child and a 2-year-old child. All are listed in stable condition, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Maqsood for charges of attempted first- and second-degree murder along with first- and second-degree assault, according to the police department.

The attack was reported about 7:15 a.m. Sunday at a home in the 400 block of Deerhill Circle. Harford County Sheriff's deputies found two people injured outside the home and three more inside the home suffering from slashing wounds and other injures.

Two victims were flown to a trauma center by Maryland State Police Aviation. The other victims were taken by ambulance to an area hospital.

By using K9 and drone units, detectives learned the suspect went to the Abingdon Walmart and Target stores, where he changed his clothes, before fleeing the area. Weapons authorities said were used in the attacks were recovered at the scene.
