Baltimore County Closures For Monday, February 1
Winter weather has resulted in closures in Baltimore County Monday, Feb. 1.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — With several inches of snow on the ground in Baltimore County, multiple closures are in effect, from government offices and school meal service to COVID-19 vaccination clinics.
Baltimore County government is closed on Monday, Feb. 1. Emergency and essential employees are required to report to work. For more information, see the inclement weather policy.
The Circuit Court for Baltimore County will be closed on Monday, Feb. 1, due to inclement weather.

Virtual learning will continue but Baltimore County Public Schools canceled meal service Monday, Feb. 1. Nonessential employees can use liberal leave, and office staff have been encouraged to telework.

CCBC is closed Monday, Feb. 1, for on-site classes until 5 p.m. Remote or online classes and employee telework will continue as scheduled. Spring enrollment continues at 443-840-2222.
Stevenson University is closed Monday, Feb. 1. Remote instruction continues. Please review guidelines for students and employees in the event of a campus closing or delayed opening.
Towson University will close its physical campus Monday. Remote learning and telework will continue as scheduled.
The Maryland Department of Natural Resources announced the following about parks:
- GUNPOWDER FALLS (Hammerman): OPEN, but closed to vehicles
- NORTH POINT: OPEN, but closed to vehicles
- PATAPSCO VALLEY: CLOSED (except Avalon and Hilton areas, which opened by 11 a.m.)
- SOLDIERS DELIGHT: CLOSED
Many GBMC Health practices opened late, are closing early or are closing for the day depending on conditions locally to protect patients and staff, GBMC reported Monday afternoon. Patients are encouraged to use MyChart to communicate with their care team for routine medical needs like prescription refills and call the practice directly with any urgent needs or cancellations.
Baltimore County Under Winter Weather Alerts
Due to slippery conditions, drivers should reduce their speed and prepare for potentially hazardous conditions during the morning or evening commutes in Baltimore County. People who must travel should keep a flashlight, food and water in the vehicle in case of emergency.
Pedestrians should also be careful when walking outside, as stairs, sidewalks and driveways may be icy and slippery.
In Towson 4.3 inches of snow had fallen by 8:30 a.m. Monday, according to unofficial data provided to the National Weather Service.
Northern Baltimore County is under a winter storm warning until 6 a.m. Tuesday calling for 2 to 4 inches of additional snowfall and up to 0.1 inch ice as well as wind gusts up to 35 mph. The warning applies to northern Baltimore, Carroll, Cecil, Garrett and Harford counties.
Southern Baltimore County is under a winter weather advisory until 6 a.m. Tuesday calling for 1 to 2 inches of additional snowfall and up to 0.1 inch ice. The advisory applies to Anne Arundel, Baltimore and Howard counties as well as Baltimore City.
