A GoFundMe has been set up for a Bel Air couple killed in a car crash in Delaware Friday.

BEL AIR, MD ? A Bel Air couple was killed Friday in a multi-car crash in Delaware. Friends of the family has created a GoFundMe to help support the family they left behind.

According to Delaware State Police, the five-vehicle crash happened around 2:30 p.m. Nov. 7 along the Coastal Highway in Lewes. Police said a Peterbilt dump truck traveling southbound in the right lane of Coastal Highway failed to slow down for traffic and slammed into a line of vehicles - a Ford Edge, a Nissan Altima, a BMW X2 and a BMW 135 - that had stopped or slowed near Hudson Road, causing a chain reaction, police reported.

Charlene Broccolo, 62, was driving the Ford Edge that was hit from behind and was the first vehicle the dump truck hit. Her vehicle then slammed into the vehicle ahead of hers, triggering the chain reaction, Delaware State Police report. Broccolo was taken to a nearby hospital where she died. Her husband, 64-year-old Albert Broccolo, was pronounced dead at the scene.
