Fall sports are wrapping up, and multiple teams from Bel Air are in the playoffs.

BEL AIR, MD — Fall sports are wrapping up and multiple teams from Bel Air are in the playoffs. Here is a look at the teams battling for state titles this season.

Field Hockey Wins State Championship

The C. Milton Wright field hockey team won the state crown, defeating Chesapeake, 3-0, in the class 3A state championship on Saturday, Nov. 10, at Washington College.

Volleyball Heads To State Semis

Bel Air beat Towson, 3-0, for the class 3A north regional volleyball title on Friday, Nov. 9.

Next the Bobcats will take on Huntington's volleyball team in the state semifinals at Richie Coliseum on the University of Maryland College Park campus at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14.

The winner of that matchup will move on to the state championship on Tuesday, Nov. 20.

Soccer Teams Look For State Titles

Two soccer teams from Bel Air will be aiming for state titles this week.

Patterson Mill boys soccer will play for the class 1A state title against Loch Raven at noon on Saturday, Nov. 17.

The C. Milton Wright boys soccer team will face off against the Magruder Colonels in the class 3A state championship game at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17.

In the state semifinals, the Huskies shut out Mountain Ridge, 5-0, on Saturday, Nov. 10, and the Raiders defeated International High School, 3-1, on Friday, Nov. 9.

In the class 3A playoffs, CMW boys soccer beat Baltimore City College, 5-2, and Magruder beat James M. Bennett High School, 1-0, on Saturday, Nov. 10.

Both state championship soccer games on Saturday, Nov. 17, will be at Loyola University's Ridley Athletic Complex, 2221 West Cold Spring Lane, Baltimore, MD 21209. Admission is $8.

After clinching the 1A west title, Patterson Mill girls soccer was defeated by Smithsville, 2-1, in the class 1A girls soccer semifinals on Saturday, Nov. 10, at Northeast. The state girls soccer finals for class 1A will pit Sparrows Point against Smithsburg on Saturday, Nov. 17.

Cross Country

Bel Air ranked second in the class 3A girls cross-country state championship on Saturday, Nov. 10, at Hereford High School. Bel Air's Caleb Zylka placed second overall among boys 3A individual runners, with a time of 16:38.17.

Football Seasons Wind Down, Except For Warriors

Two Harford teams were edged out of the football playoffs by a touchdown.

Dundalk beat Edgewood, 26-20, in the 3A north regional football semifinals on Friday, Nov. 9.

Elkton beat Harford Tech, 21-14, in the 2A east regional football playoffs on Friday, Nov. 9.

Havre de Grace remains in the hunt and will play Perryville for the 1A east regional crown on Friday, Nov. 16, at Havre de Grace High School. The Warriors beat the Col. Richardson Colonels, 60-21, and the Panthers defeated the Cambridge Vikings, 32-7, on Friday, Nov. 9.
