Puppy Saved From Precarious Situation By Bel Air First Responders
Police and fire officials in Bel Air saved the day for Delilah, who got her head stuck in a jar over the weekend.
BEL AIR, MD — A puppy who had been trying to get to her treats got her head stuck in a jar over the weekend instead. Without missing a beat, first responders in Bel Air came to the rescue for little Delilah.
Officer Keith Smithson of the Bel Air Police Department brought the puppy and her owner, Kerry Lee, to the firehouse.
"It seems that Delilah became overly anxious looking at her treats in a glass jar," police said.

Officer Smithson, Lt. Scott McNutt, firefighter Brett Godwin, firefighter Brian Winchester and paramedic Corinne Womer-McNutt came up with the plan. Womer-McNutt captured it on video, which is shared below, courtesy of the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company.
Firefighters "do more than rescue cats from trees," Rich Gardiner of the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company said. "They also rescue puppy dogs with their head stuck in a broken glass jar, just like this little girl."
Said Gardiner: "Not your ordinary Saturday afternoon but one for the story books."
