Bel Air Garden Mart Is A Go This Spring
The town of Bel Air will host its annual flower mart in May.

BEL AIR, MD —The Bel Air Garden Mart is still happening this spring.
Elaine Millard, who is coordinating the event, confirmed Monday that planning was underway. She shared the news at the Town of Bel Air Appearance & Beautification Committee's virtual meeting.
Millard held up the flyer on her Zoom camera and said that since the event is traditionally promoted at the libraries, publicity has been challenging.

Library buildings had been closed to the public since 2020 due to the coronavirus; however, the Bel Air, Aberdeen and Norrisville branches reopened Monday, and other branches are slated to reopen later this month.
The 2020 garden mart was canceled last May as Maryland was under a statewide stay-at-home order due to the coronavirus.

This year organizers plan to host various garden clubs from the area to sell their goods, and crafters will have booths set up at the armory, where the event is held. The Just Having Fun Singers will perform as well, according to Millard.
The 2021 Bel Air Garden Mart will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 14, at the Bel Air Reckord Armory, 37 North Main Street.
