Bel Air Linebacker Named Defensive Athlete Of The Week
A John Carroll alumnus earned recognition from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference this week for his performance as a linebacker.

BEL AIR, MD - From IUP Athletics: IUP junior linebacker Damon Lloyd was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West Defensive Athlete of the Week, announced by the league office Monday morning.
Lloyd posted a game-high 16 total tackles in the 23rd-ranked Crimson Hawks 24-23 comeback win over Clarion Saturday at George P. Miller Stadium. Eight of Lloyd's stops were solo, and he also finished with 1.5 tackles-for-loss and a fumble recovery.
His recovery came with just over seven minutes left in the fourth quarter as IUP trailed 23-17. On a first down quarterback run, fellow 'backer Nick Amendola forced a fumble of Jeff Clemens, and Lloyd was in perfect position to scoop it up and give the Crimson Hawks the ball at the Clarion 42.
