A Bel Air woman will throw the first pitch at the Orioles game on Mother's Day at Camden Yards.

BALTIMORE, MD — A Bel Air woman will be honored this weekend during the Orioles game at Camden Yards. The game falls on Mother's Day, and this will be a special one for Melanie Vohs.
This Mother's Day will be the first time that Vohs is celebrating with her new baby, according to a statement from MLB.
During the Mother's Day baseball game, Vohs will be the "Honorary Bat Girl" for the Orioles, selected from thousands of candidates to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

Vohs will be representing the O's as a bat girl in an initiative called "Going to Bat Against Breast Cancer," which raises funds and awareness to combat breast cancer through the MLB.
The Bel Air woman was diagnosed with breast cancer at 32 weeks pregnant, the statement said, and she is slated to undergo her final chemotherapy treatment on Thursday, May 9.

Vohs will throw the first pitch in the 1:05 p.m. game against the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday, May 12.
