Bel Air Soldier Dax Conrad Dies At 26
A graduate of C. Milton Wright died while serving the Army this month.
First Lt. Dax Conrad died Oct. 16. He was 26.
The Bel Air resident was serving the 5th Battalion, 20th Infantry Regiment when he died from medical complications while working to earn his Expert Infantryman Badge, according to his obituary, which described him as a "true warrior, an outstanding leader and a devoted husband."
Conrad graduated from C. Milton Wright High School in 2013 and earned a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from Ohio University, according to his obituary.

He is survived by his wife, Emily; parents, Mark and Dian; sister, Dale; and puppies, Archer and Filly, his obituary states.
A celebration of life is planned from 2-4 and 6–8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1, at Evans Life Celebration Home-Bel Air, 3 Newport Drive (Rt.23 & Rt. 24), Forest Hill. A funeral service at Arlington National Cemetery will be held in the future.

Condrad's family was on hand for the dignified transfer ceremony at Baltimore-Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport this week that involved American Airlines, the Transportation Security Administration and Maryland Transportation Authority paying their respects to the fallen soldier.
In lieu of flowers, people may send a Dax Conrad Memorial Gift to Water Mission.
