DHS Secretary Visits Harford County To Boost Vaccine Efforts

Maryland Department of Health Secretary Dennis Schrader recently visited Harford County vaccine clinics in an effort to bolster efforts.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD – Maryland Department of Health Secretary Dennis Schrader recently visited Harford County vaccine clinics in an effort to bolster efforts to vaccinate nursing and congregate care residents and staff.

Schrader visited the Lorien Bel Air assisted living center, MedStar Health Bel Air Medical Campus in Bel Air and the Klein Family Harford Crisis Center on Wednesday.

“A major component of our vaccination ground game is getting as many congregate care facility residents and staff vaccinated as soon as possible,” he said in a prepared statement. “Earlier this week, we further expanded our statewide GoVAX campaign to target workers in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and other congregate settings, urging them to join the more than five million other Marylanders and get a COVID-19 vaccine as soon as possible to protect themselves and those in their care.”
