Flash Flood Warning in Effect for Harford County

Weather officials say that more than 2 inches of rain has fallen already Wednesday, with more on the way.

Harford County, MD — The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for northwestern Harford County until 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Approximately 2.5 inches of rain had fallen across the area by 3:30 p.m., according to the weather service, with additional thunderstorms moving into the region accompanied by heavy rain.

A flash flood warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring and people should move to higher ground immediately. If there is standing water of unknown depth, drivers should turn around; don't drown.
