Free Spring, Summer Concert Series In Bel Air At Rockfield Park, Shamrock Park

BEL AIR, MD ? Music in the Park, a free concert series, kicked off Wednesday in Bel Air.

There will be 11 concerts in the series, which are being organized by the Bel Air Recreation Committee. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and even a picnic dinner to Shamrock Park or the Schlehr Pavilion in Rockfield Park on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month through Sept. 27.

Concerts are scheduled for 6 to 7:30 p.m. each evening. A lineup of the acts, which range from classic rock cover groups to big band, jazz, funk and country is available on the recreation committee?s Facebook page.

There also will be a free summer concert series on Sunday nights in Shamrock Park, which includes symphonic music, big band, jazz and more, which starts June 4 with the Susquehanna Symphony Orchestra. The concerts are scheduled for 7 to 8:15 p.m. and a lineup also is available on the Facebook page.
