George C. Winter, 94, of Forest Hill

A Forest Hill man will be remembered Oct. 1 with a graveside memorial service.

On Sept. 25, 2019, George C. Winter of Forest Hill went to be with our Heavenly Father. He was 94.

George was a World War ll veteran who served in the Merchant Marines aboard the USS Eldbridge Gerry. He was also a Baltimore City policeman and retired letter carrier from the United States Postal Service.

He is preceded in death by his wife Marlene Winter, son Ronald Winter, and siblings Charles and Dorothy Winter.

He is survived by his son, Dale R. Winter of Bel Air; and grandchildren Meghan, DJ, Brian and Adam Winter. He also leaves behind great-grandchildren Bailey, Ashton and Christian Winter of Ocean City, Maryland. He will be laid to rest at Gardens of Faith Memorial Gardens in Fullerton.

There will be a graveside service for George C. Winter at noon on Tuesday, Oct. 1, at Gardens of Faith Memorial Gardens, 5598 Trumps Mill Rd., Baltimore, MD 21206.

In lieu of flowers, people may make contributions in George's memory to the American Legion Post 39, 500 N. Hickory Ave., Bel Air, MD 21014.
