Harford County Resident Named National Merit Scholar

HARFORD COUNTY, MD ? A Havre de Grace student has been named a National Merit Scholar.

Grace S. Liu has received a National Merit Siemens Scholarship courtesy of Siemens Corporation, which producers and markets electrical and electronic systems, instruments and components for medicine, science and industry. Liu intends on studying medicine.

Liu attends Choate Rosemary Hall, a private boarding school in Connecticut. She is among approximately 840 high school seniors winning corporate-sponsored National Merit Scholarship awards financed by an estimated 107 corporations, company foundations and other business organizations.

Scholars were selected from students who advanced to the finalist level in the National
Merit Scholarship competition and met the criteria of their scholarship sponsors.
