HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Harford County is under a wind advisory Monday calling for powerful wind gusts.

Trees may fall and power could be knocked out as a result, according to the National Weather Service, which issued the advisory.

The wind advisory lasts from 2 p.m. to midnight for Allegany, Baltimore, Carroll, Cecil, Frederick, Garrett, Harford, Howard, Montgomery and Washington counties and Baltimore City.

Forecasters say 15 to 25 mph northwest winds and gusts up to 50 mph are possible.

People should tie down any loose objects outside, officials advise, since gusts could blow down tree limbs and toss unsecured objects.
