Harford County Emergency Services wants citizens to be prepared should something unforeseen occur at Peach Bottom Atomic Power Plant.

To that end, Emergency Manager Ayers will brief the public about the county's emergency preparation strategy on Nov. 1, according to a statement from Harford County.

“We are taking this opportunity to reach out to the North Harford area community and share information with them to help them take appropriate actions should an unforeseen event occur at the power plant,” Ayers said in the statement.

Exelon Power, which operates the plant, will be represented at the meeting, as will Harford County Emergency Management staff, according to the statement.

The county encourages citizens who live or work within the 10-mile emergency planning zone around Peach Bottom—Darlington, Dublin, Street, Whiteford and Pylesville—to attend.

Peach Bottom is located in Delta, PA.

The public forum will take place in the auditorium of North Harford High School (211 Pylesville Rd.) at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1.
