He was the third generation in his family to receive the living treasure recognition, according to his obituary, which said he grew up on a dairy farm in Harford County, spent eight years in service as a county councilman and taught social studies for Harford County Public Schools. After beginning his career in 1991 at C. Milton Wright High School, he moved to Harford Tech, where he spent most of his teaching career, according to his obituary.
“Ed was devoted to public service in Harford County, and he will be greatly missed,” Glassman said in a statement. “Our sympathy and prayers go out to his family. May they find comfort, and may he rest in peace.”
