The Harford County Sheriff's Office has released a few tips to help car owners protect themselves and their vehicles from thieves.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD ? As vehicle thefts reach an historic high in the county and nation, the Harford County Sheriff's Office has offered a few tips to help drivers protect their vehicles and themselves.
- Always lock your car and take the keys with you.
- Always lock the trunk or tailgate.
- Never leave valuables or other belongings in plain site.
- Always lock and close garage doors.
- Do not leave your garage door opener in your car.
- Look for unusual behavior in your community.
