Multiple Crashes On I-95 In Harford County Clear After Rush Hour
Crashes that jammed northbound traffic Wednesday afternoon have cleared, officials say.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Two crashes on Interstate 95 in Harford County slowed northbound traffic Wednesday afternoon. By 6:50 p.m., state transportation officials reported all lanes had reopened following bumper-to-bumper delays.
The first crash happened on I-95 north past the exit for MD 152/Mountain Road around 4:45 p.m., prompting the closure of three northbound lanes.
By 5:35 p.m., the Maryland Transportation Authority reported two lanes remained closed.

After 5 p.m., a second crash was reported 0.1 mile from the first collision, on I-95 north past the Mountain Road exit. Two northbound lanes were closed there as well.
In both cases, traffic was getting by on the left, according to state transportation officials.

After 6:45 p.m., authorities said all lanes had reopened.

Another incident was snarling traffic in the area on an alternate route.
A truck fire on MD 7 closed the road between Pauls Lane and Mountain Road after 5 p.m.
