The rescues were made possible through a collaboration with Jarrettsville Vet, Animal Rescue Inc. and Black Dog Rescue, Taylor said, sharing about the journey to get the dogs in a post on Facebook.
Dr. Krista Magnifico of Jarrettsville Vet told ABC 2 News the dogs could have drowned or been left for days without food and water since the animals were in a shelter in an evacuation zone. They will be up for adoption as they were not strays but were surrendered by their owners.
