Motorcyclist Killed After Crashing Into Telephone Pole: MSP
A motorcyclist from Pennsylvania was killed after he left the road and crashed into a telephone pole, according to Maryland State Patrol.
WHITEFORD, MD ? A 50-year-old Pennsylvania man has died after the Honda motorcycle he was driving left the road and crashed into a telephone pole Sunday night.
Shortly after 10:30 p.m. May 12, Maryland State Police troopers from the Bel Air barrack were called to the 2600 block of Whiteford Road for a report of a motorcycle crash. According to a preliminary investigation, a Honda motorcycle driven by Jason Birley, 50, of Fawn Grove, Pennsylvania, was heading north when it left the road and crashed into a telephone pole, according to the MSP.
Birley was pronounced dead at the scene. Whiteford Road was closed for approximately 2.5 hours after the crash, which remains under investigation.
