Multiple Traffic Tie-Ups In Harford County Reported
BREAKING: Traffic in Harford County was jammed Friday afternoon on Interstate 95 and Belair Road/US 1.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Several incidents snarled traffic Friday afternoon in Harford County, according to authorities. Interstate 95 and US 1 were affected by separate issues after 2 p.m.
Before 6 p.m., all lanes had reopened on I-95 south before the exit for MD 543, where a crash had temporarily closed much of the highway for about an hour.
Officials said three vehicles crashed on I-95 south near mile marker 81.8 before 5 p.m., shutting down the highway.

The two right lanes and right shoulder on I-95 south were closed during the cleanup.


A few miles away, another stretch of I-95 south was shut down after 2:15 p.m. due to a medical emergency, according to the Maryland Transportation Authority.

The crash closed all lanes on I-95 south past the MD 22/Churchville Road exit and the left shoulder on I-95 north, officials said.
By 2:30 p.m., authorities said the left lane remained closed for the medical emergency on I-95 south but the right lanes had reopened. By 2:40 p.m., officials said all lanes were open.

Due to a separate crash, US 1 north is closed at Reckord Road.
After 2 p.m., the Maryland State Highway Administration said all lanes were closed to northbound traffic.
