Open Door Cafe Closes Its Doors for Good: 1 Year Ago in Bel Air
Sept. 19, 2014: Cafe in Bel Air Town Center bids adieu to loyal patrons.

Bob Glock, owner of Open Door Cafe, confirmed Sept. 17, 2014, that his business in Bel Air Town Center has closed. The restaurant off Baltimore Pike did not open for business as of Monday, Sept. 15, he said.
Open Door Cafe began welcoming patrons in March 2006. It served approximately 6,000 customers each month, according to Glock.

A sign on the door indicated the decision to close was “based upon the state of the economy, the oversaturated Bel Air restaurant market and the rent-to-sales ratio.”
Glock posted a farewell note to patrons which began: “Life is about growth and transition.”
