Outdoor Activities, Recess, PE Classes Canceled At HCPS Due To Heat

HARFORD COUNTY, MD ? All outdoor activities, recess and physical education classes with Harford County Public Schools have been canceled or moved indoors for Tuesday, Sept. 5, due to a hazardous weather outlook issued by the National Weather Service.

Temperatures are expected to be in the mid to upper 90s and heat index values of 100 to 105 are expected, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures could reach 100 degrees on Wednesday. Areas under the heat advisory include Anne Arundel, Carroll, Cecil, Howard, Montgomery, Charles, Frederick, Baltimore, Harford, Howard, Prince George's counties and Baltimore City, according to the NWS.
