Shore Drive Closed For Three Weeks During Road Project In Harford Co.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD ? Shore Drive from Joppa Farm Road to Towne Center Drive in Joppatowne will be closed to all traffic on weekdays starting April 26. The road will remain closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for approximately three weeks.

Repairs and resurfacing will be carried out along the stretch of road as part of a $2.4 million project on Rumsey Island and Long Bar Harbor. Repairs include disability-related improvements to 58 sidewalk ramps, new pedestrian crossing/islands at the intersection of Joppa Farm Road and Shore Drive, replacement of approximately 5,000 feet of curb and storm drain inlet work.

School buses and emergency vehicles will not be allowed to travel on the road during the closure.
