Stolen SUV Crashes Near Bel Air: Sheriff's Office
Deputies apprehended four juveniles Thursday evening after they crashed a stolen SUV near Bel Air, says Harford County Sheriff's Office.

BEL AIR, MD — The Harford County Sheriff's Office is investigating the crash of a stolen SUV Thursday evening on Route 1. Four juveniles fled from the vehicle after the crash, but deputies quickly apprehended them, the sheriff's office said.
No injuries occurred as a result of the crash, the sheriff's office said. It happened near Route 1's intersection with Route 24, west of Bel Air.
An off-duty deputy spotted the stolen vehicle, a 2006 Suzuki SUV, at about 7:10 p.m., said Cristie Hopkins, a spokeswoman for the sheriff's office.

Other deputies tried to stop the SUV, but it crashed about 10 minutes later, striking two parked vehicles that were unoccupied, Hopkins said.

The sheriff's office did not release the names of the juveniles. Hopkins said the four are facing charges.
