Tornado Warning Issued For Harford County
A storm with rotation could impact Harford County, according to the National Weather Service.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD ? A tornado warning was issued on Thursday night for parts of Harford and Baltimore counties.
The National Weather Service issued the warning before 6:30 p.m., and it lasts until 6:45 p.m.
Southern Harford County and southeastern Baltimore County are included in the warning area.

A severe thunderstorm with rotation capable of producing a tornado was detected by radar over Back River, and the storm was moving east at 35 mph, officials reported before 6:25 p.m.
It is expected to be near Bowleys Quarters at 6:30 p.m., officials said. Edgemere may also be impacted, according to the National Weather Service.

In the event of a tornado, the safest places are in the basement or lowest floor of a solid structure, away from windows. People in the areas under the tornado warning should take cover and seek shelter immediately. Flying debris could be dangerous to those without shelter. Tree damage is likely, according to forecasters, who said mobile homes may be destroyed.
A severe thunderstorm warning is also in effect for northwestern Harford County and central Baltimore County until 7 p.m.
The National Weather Service issued the warning after a thunderstorm with 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-sized hail was detected near Owings Mills and was moving east at 30 mph, officials said.
Some trees and large branches may fall from the wind, which may damage vehicles and homes. Roads may be blocked by trees, and power outages are also possible.
These areas may be impacted, authorities reported: Pikesville, Cockeysville, Towson, Bel Air South, Randallstown, Parkville, Owings Mills, Bel Air North, Carney, Perry Hall, Reisterstown, Lochearn, Mays Chapel, Timonium, Fallston, Hampton, Kingsville, Pleasant Hills, Jarrettsville and Lutherville-Timonium.
