Torrential Rain In Baltimore Metro Area Reported
The National Weather Service advised flooding was possible after heavy rain Friday night.
BALTIMORE, MD — Up to an inch of rain was projected as a line of storms drenched the Baltimore metro area Friday night.
Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Cecil, Harford and Howard counties were impacted by the storms, according to the National Weather Service.
Swift water rescue teams from Arbutus and Kingsville were put on standby due to the conditions, the Baltimore County Volunteer Firefighter's Association reported at 8:30 p.m.

A line of showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain stretched from Sykesville to Dundalk before 8 p.m., according to the National Weather Service, which reported the storms were moving northeast at 40 mph.
Since localized flooding is possible, authorities warned against driving through water-covered roads.

"Turn around; don't drown," officials advised.
