Where to Find the Best Ice Cream Near Bel Air

Craving something sweet? We've rounded up the top reader picks for ice cream in Bel Air and nearby.

Known as the unofficial start to summer, Memorial Day weekend is meant for beach trips, barbecues and—our favorite—ice cream.

Bel Air Patch readers shared their favorite local spots to get the frozen sweet treat. We’ve rounded up the top reader picks below.Add these to your Memorial Day plans:

  1. Broom’s Bloom Dairy (Bel Air) — Winner of multiple awards, Broom’s Bloom won the first spot on our list as readers raved about the irresistible old-fashioned ice cream. No objection here!
  2. Arctic Circle (Churchville) — Prefer soft-serve ice cream instead? Arctic Circle came in second for their creamy ice cream and shakes. (Is your mouth watering yet?)
  3. Jarrettsville Creamery & Deli (Jarrettsville) — The homemade ice cream is made daily in house and served up in over 20 flavors. (Coconut Almond Chip, anyone?) Did we mention their waffle cones are made fresh at the creamery too? Yum!
  4. Bomboy’s (Havre de Grace) — Known traditionally for their handmade chocolate treats, Bomboy’s is also home to some of the best ice cream in the area. Flavors include: Cookies Galore, Snickerdoodle, Oreo Cheesecake and Cotton Candy.
  5. Keye’s Creamery (Aberdeen) — Their premium ice cream is made from the farm’s grass-fed cows and is then hand-mixed right at the creamery. Quarts and pints of ice cream are also available for purchase at the creamery or at other locations across Harford County.
