Winter Weather Advisory Issued For 9 Maryland Counties
The National Weather Service issued winter weather advisories due to the potential for slippery conditions.

MARYLAND — Hazardous weather is not over yet for parts of Maryland. Due to the potential for slippery conditions, some areas in the north and western parts of the state are under a winter weather advisory.
Portions of Baltimore, Harford, Howard and Montgomery counties are under a winter weather advisory from midnight to 10 a.m. Monday that calls for a light glaze of ice from freezing rain or drizzle. Parts of northern, central and northwest Virginia are also under the advisory.
During the advisory period, drivers should slow down and be extra vigilant.

In addition, pedestrians should watch their steps on driveways, sidewalks and stairs due to slippery conditions that could lead to falls.
Allegany, Carroll, Frederick, Garrett and Washington counties are under a winter weather advisory from 9 p.m. Sunday to 10 a.m. Monday calling for a light glaze of ice from freezing rain or drizzle. Very slippery sidewalks, roads and bridges are possible, according to the advisory.

A winter storm watch takes effect for Allegany, Garrett and Washington counties from 6 p.m. Monday to 9 a.m. Tuesday based on the potential for significant icing.
Roads have been slippery through the weekend, when an ice storm hit the region.
Troopers responded to 152 crashes, 987 calls for service and 46 disabled or unattended vehicles from 8 a.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday, according to the Maryland State Police.
