2 Walter Johnson Seniors Killed In WV Car Crash, 2 Hurt: Report

Two Walter Johnson High School seniors were killed in a car crash in West Virginia. Two others were injured, according to media reports.

BETHESDA, MD — Two Walter Johnson High School students were killed in a West Virginia car crash, and two others were seriously injured.

Troy Smith wrote on Facebook that his son, Jaidon, was one of the students killed in the crash.

"He lost his life with a friend of his," Smith wrote. "None of our lives will ever be the same. I am angry, hurt, empty, sad, and still shocked."

Jaidon's family set up a scholarship program in his name at Walter Johnson High School. The principal wrote a letter to the school community and encouraged students to talk to counselors at the school, according to WTOP.

“Our hearts are broken, and our thoughts go out to the parents, siblings, friends and other family members who have suffered this great loss," Principal Jennifer Baker wrote.

Baker did name the students in the crash, according to WTOP.
