AAHM Featured with Dr. Leslie Wong Virtual Speech, May 8 7:30 pm
Co-sponsored by CCACC, Asian American Heritage Month Celebration Featured with Dr. Leslie Wong Virtual Speech, May 8 Sat 7:30 pm – 9:00pm

With the approach of 2021 Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month (AAHM), community organizations and groups are working together to recall the history of AAPIs since their arrival in the United States in the mid-1800s, their challenges and their contributions to American society.
As one of the well-known community organization in DC metropolitan area, Chinese Culture and Community Service Center (CCACC) is honored to be engaged and co-sponsored several events to celebrate AAHM, bringing the awareness of the roles and contribution the Asian American and Pacific Islanders have made for American history. Due to the COVID situation, celebrations have been switched to online to keep the community safe.
Starting March 2021, CCACC co-sponsored with Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) on the AAHM Poster Contest for all K-12 MCPS students. CCACC has played an important role from the event flyer design to news promotion. We are glad to know that MCPS had received 176 submissions, which was more than double comparing to the previous year (70 submissions in 2020).
