Bethesda Home Invasion Suspects Charged: Montgomery County Police

BETHESDA, MD — Two men have been charged in connection with a December 2020 Bethesda home invasion, the Montgomery County Police Department said.

Jaylen Gary Hunter, age 20 of Silver Spring, and Khalil Powers Zalmai, age 19 of Bethesda, were arrested and charged with home invasion, armed robbery and the use of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Police say that Zalmai helped plan the home invasion but did not go into the house.

The victims of the home invasion told police that three men entered their home with masks and handguns, and demanded money but fled without taking anything.

Police are still looking for two more suspects.
