Bethesda Man Fatally Struck By Car While Walking Near Dewey Beach
A 22-year-old Bethesda man died after he was hit by a car while walking near Dewey Beach early Friday morning, Delaware State Police said.

BETHESDA, MD — A 22-year-old Bethesda man died after he was hit by a car while walking near Dewey Beach early Friday morning, Delaware State Police said.
Peter M. Rudnicki was struck and killed at about 12:31 a.m. on Coastal Highway northbound at the intersection of Keybox Road south of Dewey Beach.
Delmarva Daily Times reports Rudnicki was hit by a 56-year-old Lewes, De. man.

Rudnicki was walking on the northbound side of the intersection when he allegedly walked into the path of the car for unknown reasons.
Police told Delmarva Daily Times that neither alcohol nor speeding was a contributing factor on the driver's behalf. Alcohol did not seem to be a contributing factor on why Rudnicki walked into the car's route, police said.
