Every Day Can Now Be ‘The Most Exciting Day’ for Bethesda Pups

New Dogtopia Dog Daycare, Boarding and Spa Facility Opens its Doors, Now Accepting Holiday Boarding Reservations

Dogtopia, the nation’s leading dog daycare, boarding and spa facility, recently opened a new location in Bethesda. Situated at 4936 Fairmont Ave., Dogtopia in Bethesda and is offering contact-free, curbside drop-off and pick-up services.

Providing personalized care for Bethesda pups in a fun, safe and comfortable environment, Dogtopia sets the industry standard among dog daycares with its three key benefits: education, exercise and socialization. To ensure the safety of all pups, pet parents and employees, Dogtopia in Bethesda is taking extra safety precautions alongside their rigorous cleaning protocol. In addition to their curbside drop-off and pick-up services, Dogtopia maintains a custom cleaning program that utilizes pet-safe products that clean, disinfect and offer the highest level of safety available. The playrooms are sanitized twice daily when the pups are resting, and routine detail cleaning is performed throughout the day. Each playroom has a powerful HVAC system, with in-duct UV lighting, that funnels air out of the building to ensure clean, fresh air, and eliminates bad bacteria by killing up to 99% of airborne pathogens.

The new location is owned by local entrepreneurs Joe and Maryam Rouhafzai and is operated by general manager Nelson Greene III. Joe came out of retirement to look for a new business opportunity, which is when his sons, Jonathan and Andrew, introduced him to Dogtopia. He loved the brand and knew it would not only be a good fit for the Bethesda community, but also provide a family legacy to pass down to his sons. Both Joe and Nelson have over 30 years of restaurant and small business experience, and Nelson worked the pet industry previously. They’re looking forward to making a positive impact on the pup and pet parent community in Bethesda. This the Rouhafzai family’s first location, with hopes to expand in the future.

“Our family knows the importance of providing a great experience to customers – human or dog – which is why we love the unparalleled service Dogtopia provides,” said Joe. “Every dog that comes through our doors will be treated as if they were our own. We’re excited to bring Dogtopia to the Bethesda community and are looking forward to giving local dogs a home away from home.”

Dogtopia’s environment allows dogs to feel comfortable, enjoy plenty of playtime and exercise, and the various playrooms offer fun for dogs of similar size and temperament. Each playroom has compressed rubber flooring to ease joints, prevent slipping and promote safer play. Dogtopia gives each dog an opportunity to socialize and stay active throughout the day in an environment that is safe and clean, which can ease their separation anxiety and give pet parents peace of mind.
