Free Summer Concert Series Will Return to Bethesda

BETHESDA, MD--With warm summer weather comes free weekly outdoor concerts in downtown Bethesda.

The series, produced by the Bethesda Urban Partnership, will feature free Thursday evening concerts during May, June, and July.

The concerts will offer a diverse range of music including rock, funk, jazz, swing, and reggae beginning on May 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. in Veterans Park.

• May 12, Rockin’ Pneumonia (Soul/Funk)
• May 19, Moonshine Society (Blues)
• May 26, Gary and the Groove (Classic Rock)
• June 2, Cathy Ponton King (Jazzy Blues)
• June 9, Virginia and the Bluedots (Country/Rock)
• June 16, Blue Sky 5 (Swing)
• June 23, The Sidleys (Rock)
• June 30, Oasis Island Sounds (Caribbean/Reggae)
• July 7, 8 Ohms Band (Funk)
• July 14, David Cole and the Main Street Blues Band (Blues)
• July 21, Chuggalug (Rock/Top 40)
• July 28, U.S. Navy Band Cruisers
