Here's How To Sample Taste Of Bethesda
The 29th annual food and music festival will take place Saturday in Bethesda's Woodmont Triangle.
BETHESDA, MD — Taste of Bethesda returns on Saturday and will feature nearly 50 restaurants and entertainment. The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine, and ticket sales end at 3:30 p.m. Produced by the Bethesda Urban Partnership, downtown Bethesda’s famous food and music festival celebrates 29 years of diverse and delectable cuisine offered by Bethesda’s restaurant community.
Taste of Bethesda will take place on Norfolk, St. Elmo, Cordell, Del Ray and Auburn avenues in the heart of Bethesda’s Woodmont Triangle. Five stages will showcase musical and cultural performances, and a children’s area featuring art and craft activities, balloons and face painting will entertain young visitors.
The forecast for Saturday calls for drizzle followed by mostly cloudy skies, with a high of 74 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

As downtown Bethesda continues to grow, several new restaurants will debut at the 2018 Taste of Bethesda: The Big Greek Café, CherCher Ethiopian Cuisine, Dog Haus Biergarten, Lucy Ethiopian Restaurant, The Red Bandana Bakery and True Food Kitchen, among others.
Returning favorites such as Duck Duck Goose, Georgetown Cupcake, Jaleo, Mussel Bar, Olazzo, Ruth’s Chris and many more will be in attendance this year.

Live entertainment will complement the Taste of Bethesda and will feature the following bands: 19th Street Band, Aztec Sun, Elikeh, Jay Byrd & The Musical Trust, Joker’s Wild, Rochelle Rice (2018 Bernard/Ebb Songwriting Awards winner), Sara Jones and Sweet Saludos.
The cultural music and dance stage will present Ancient Rhythms Dance Company, Coyaba Dance Theater, the Culkin School of Traditional Irish Dance, Urban Artistry and Wong Chinese Lion Dancers.

Admission to Taste of Bethesda is free. Tickets will be sold on site to “taste” different foods. Tickets are $5 for four tickets and a serving costs one to four tickets.
The event will be three blocks from the Bethesda Metro station. Free parking is available in downtown Bethesda’s public garages. The free Bethesda Circulator will transport visitors to and from the Bethesda Metro station and public garages.
