John Patrick Corrigan, 86, of Silver Spring and formerly of Bethesda, died Monday, Aug. 24.

He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Louise Sullivan Corrigan and second wife, the late Margaret DiMisa Corrigan; loving father of John Thomas, Mary Patricia, Christopher Michael and Carol Ann Corrigan and Kathleen Corrigan Lovelace; devoted grandfather of Christopher, Jack, Patrick and Liam; and cherished brother-in-law of Elizabeth Boland.

Friends will be received at Pumphrey’s Bethesda-Chevy Chase Funeral Home, 7557 Wisconsin Ave. in Bethesda, on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 6900 River Road in Bethesda, on Friday, Sept. 4, at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum.
