June Renewal through the Arts

It’s about that time of the year to refresh yourself and dust off the old habits and develop new healthy habits along taking on a hobby. Art making has proven to be one of the most relaxing hobbies that one can immerse oneself in. How about learning how to draw and paint this June in these upcoming short art classes that introduce you to the medium and open your eyes to the beauty of line making and a splash of color.

These short classes that start in early June till mid June are offered by noted artist Vian Borchert who has been teaching fine art classes for over a decade in the DMV area. In each class the teacher makes step by step demos for the students to follow along. A new project and artwork is created in each class. Different mediums such as a graphite, charcoal, colored pencils and inked pens are introduced in “Beginning to Intermediate Drawing” which starts on Friday morning on June 4.
The “Beginning and Intermediate Watercolor” starts on June 7, and it introduces the students to the fresh and translucent medium of watercolor which is fun and easy to learn.
