Katie Ledecky to Throw Out First Pitch at Nationals vs Orioles Game
Olympic swimming great Katie Ledecky is practicing her fastball to throw out tonight's first pitch when the Nationals host the Orioles.

BETHESDA, MD — Olympic gold medalist Katie Ledecky of Bethesda holds world records in swimming and came home from Rio with four gold medals and one silver medal. So what is she doing today? Practicing her fastball.
Ledecky is scheduled to throw out the first pitch at Wednesday night's Washington Nationals vs. the Baltimore Orioles game at Nationals Park.
Just last week, Ledecky, 19, returned home from the Rio Olympics with five medals. Since then she's been busy, telling reporters at her arrival ceremony she wants to get her driver's license now that things have slowed down.

It will be the third time Ledecky has thrown out the first pitch at Nationals Park, says FOX DC. She first had the honor in 2012 after winning a gold medal at the London Olympics. The Olympian also took the mound before the Nationals' first postseason game in 2014.
On Monday, she visited patients at the Seacrest Studios at Children’s National Health System in Washington, DC, Monday. During the visit, Ledecky answered questions about competing in the Rio games and encouraged patients to achieve their dreams.
