Little Free Library

Borrow a book, bring a book.

When you pass a Little Free Library (LFL), you can borrow a book - no due date, no library card. Return it at your leisure - or replace it with a different book you have at home. Some libraries might include magazines, books on CDs, and other reading-related materials. It's free. Always. The Little Free Library in the photo above is located on Fairglen Lane in Chevy Chase. There are other LFLs in front of the Sidwell Friends Lower School on Edgemoor Lane in Bethesda, along Huntington Parkway in Bethesda and by the traffic circle on Brookside Drive in Kenwood. Today there are over 36,000 libraries in 70 countries from Tasmania to Pakistan. They are organized and stocked by volunteers in order to bring people together and create a community of readers. Check one out!!!
