Man Suffers Medical Emergency At Bethesda Metro Station
A man apparently fainted near an escalator at the Bethesda Metro station, according to reports.

BETHESDA, MD — A long escalator at the Bethesda Metro station was stopped because of a medical emergency Wednesday afternoon, officials said.
Montgomery County Fire & Rescue spokesperson Pete Piringer said the man was extracted from the escalator, while Metro spokesman Dan Stessel told Bethesda Magazine it appears that the man fainted, but did not fall down the escalator.
An EMS crew carried the man from the scene and transported him to the hospital at about 1 p.m.
