Model Brownstone Tour Available at Chevy Chase Lake
Scheduled tours for the first model home at The Brownstones at Chevy Chase Lake are now available.

From the Neighborhoods of EYA: Scheduled tours for the first model home at The Brownstones at Chevy Chase Lake are now available. EYA’s newest Montgomery County neighborhood – the first stage of an innovative residential and retail development at the future Chevy Chase Lake Purple Line station – features 62 elevator townhomes with private rooftop terraces.
Located along Chevy Chase Lake Drive, the community offers the only new-for-sale residences currently available along the Connecticut Ave. corridor inside the Beltway. Construction is underway on the initial homes and first move-ins are anticipated in spring 2017.
The 3,134-square foot Bradley model features 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths and a rooftop terrace with an outdoor lounge, dining and recreation areas that span the length of the home. Options are available for up to 5 bedrooms and 4.5 baths.
Scheduled tours of the Bradley are led from The Brownstones sales office located at 3605 Chevy Chase Lake Drive between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily. To ensure a personalized tour, call or go to www.eya.com/chevy-chase-lake.
“As we celebrate our 25th Anniversary of building neighborhoods in the metro area, EYA is
proud to partner with Montgomery County in building the initial phase of Chevy Chase Lake’s mixed-use development,” said McLean Quinn, EYA Vice President of Land Acquisition. “In addition to our market-rate homes, the Brownstones will include 10 moderately priced dwelling units will all residences within an easy walk of shopping, dining, recreation and transit connections.”
The current Chevy Chase Lake shopping center, which includes the Chevy Chase Supermarket and Starbucks, is next to the community and new retail offerings and mid-rise apartments are planned surrounding the light rail station.
The Capital Crescent Trail runs adjacent to the neighborhood so residents can walk or cycle to downtown Bethesda, Woodmont Triangle, Friendship Heights and Rock Creek Park or enjoy a longer bike ride to downtown Silver Spring or Georgetown.
For commuters, the future Purple Line will provide one-stop access to Bethesda Station on the Metro Red Line and will be just three stops from the Silver Spring Transit Center, which connects to the second branch of the Red Line.
The residences are a modern interpretation of a classic brownstone with brick exterior, cast stone accents and oversized windows allowing homeowners to appreciate the surrounding natural features of the community, according to EYA Vice President of Planning and Design Jack McLaurin, AIA.
“It’s a fresh take on the iconic brownstone style, less ornate and with cleaner lines,” he said. “The homes are ultimately of Washington, D.C. and Chevy Chase with building materials typically found in the surrounding area.”
Five residential models – each with private elevators to all levels and a private, two-car garage – are available for sale.
All residences come with expansive rooftop terraces with outdoor cabinetry and optional amenities that include a grill, gas fireplace, awning, and television/multi-media capabilities.
A half-acre park is planned for the community that will feature a children’s play area and water feature. Home sales at The Brownstones range from $1.475 to $1.763 million.
