Montgomery County Libraries Introduce Early Learning Tablets
The tablets are preloaded with interactive and engaging learning activities for preschool and elementary aged children.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD – Montgomery County Public Libraries announced that the addition of Early Literacy and After School Edge Tablets from AWE Learning are now available in 17 of the 21 branch locations. The tablets are preloaded with interactive and engaging learning activities for preschool and elementary aged children.
Available in English and Spanish formats, the tablets can be checked out for one hour on an adult’s or older teen’s library card that is in good standing for use while in the library. The tablets are an addition to the popular desktop computer stations with child tested software that makes learning science, math, geography, and reading fun for young children.
“Children and their parents or caregivers can use the AWE tablets to practice both early and digital literacy skills while having fun,” said MCPL Acting Director Anita Vassallo. “In our commitment to provide children the necessary support to succeed in school, MCPL is thrilled to offer this new service to the children of our community.”
