Montgomery County New Year's Events: 2019 Guide

BETHESDA, MD — Believe it or not, 2020 is around the corner. Whether you plan on ringing in the new decade at the hottest clubs and bars or spending it with family at your favorite restaurant, Patch has you covered.

Montgomery County is hosting a number of events on Dec. 31; and we have rounded them up for your convenience. So grab your friends and loved ones, pop the bubbly, and get ready to celebrate 2020.

BlackRockin' New Year's Eve Bash - Germantown

BlackRock Center for the Arts will be hosting a number of activities during the BlackRockin' New Year's Eve Bash, including casino games, all-night disco dancing, and reel-to-reel movies. MoCo LGBTQ Youth New Year's Eve Party - Rockville

This New Year's Eve party in Rockville is for guests ages 21 years and younger. While there's no alcohol at this event, you can munch on savory snacks and get a party favor. Sparkling cider is served at midnight. Free parking is available on site and Montgomery County's Ride-On bus stops are less than two blocks away. New Year's Eve Swing Dance at Glen Echo Park - Glen Echo

Think 1957 senior prom, but way less awkward. New Year's revelers can wear their best 1950s getup and swing dance at Glen Echo Park's Spanish Ballroom. New Year's Eve with E.U. and Sugar Bear and Radio One 102.3 - Bethesda

Experience Unlimited, a go-go band based in Washington, D.C., will be performing at the Bethesda Blues and Jazz Supper Club at 9 p.m. Tickets start at $59.50. Get them here.

New Year's Eve at Kaldi's Social House - Silver Spring

At the Kaldi's Social House in Silver Spring, you can ring in the New Year with an open bar and an open buffet. Both offerings will be available from 9 to 10 p.m. Live entertainment from the BAND will be on the first floor; and music from the top DJs in the D.C. metro area will be on the rooftop. New Year's Eve Party - Gaithersburg

New Year's Eve at Pinstripes - North Bethesda
You can take the whole family to Pinstripes in Bethesda on New Year's Eve. The event, which begins at 7:30 p.m., will feature live music. Enjoy a complimentary glass of champagne and try your luck at the bowling lanes and bocce courts. More information can be found here.

Drag In the New Year: Roaring 20's Style - Silver Spring

It's drag night on New Year's Eve. You can either buy a general admissions ticket — which costs $20 — or a general admissions ticket with unlimited drinks — which costs $60. Get your tickets here.

NYE 2019 Louie's Roaring 20's Party - Rockville

Glitz. Glamour. Champagne. You'll find them all at this Roaring Twenties-themed soirée. Admission to the event is free and includes a champagne toast. Upgrade to an elite package for $50 and get four drink tickets, one appetizer, and a champagne toast. 1920's attire is not required, but encouraged. No false weapons are allowed on the premise. The Block Pike & Rose NYE 2020 Bash - North Bethesda

Dance the night away at The Block's NYE 2020 Bash. The festivities start at 9 p.m. on Dec. 31 and end at 2 a.m. the following day. Free general tickets are available upon entry (until The Block reaches maximum capacity. For guaranteed entry, buy a $10 VIP ticket.
