New Chevy Chase Lake Townhomes Hit the Market Saturday

Sixty-two new 'stately' townhomes are coming to Chevy Chase Lake Drive, next to the upcoming Purple Line station.

Chevy Chase, MD — Sixty-two brand-new townhomes are about to hit the market this weekend in a highly sought-after area inside the Beltway in Montgomery County.

The Chevy Chase Lake townhome community will be located along Chevy Chase Lake Drive, just east of Connecticut Avenue, near the planned Purple Line light-rail station, which will connect riders to the Bethesda Metro station on the Red Line.

EYA, the company developing the new homes, describes them as "stately brownstones" built in a "timeless style" of modern luxury.

Buyers can choose from options for up to five bedrooms and four-and-a-half baths, in five models that range from 2,927 square feet up to 3,620 square feet with a finished loft level.

"All residences are built to the highest energy efficiency standards and feature expansive rooftop terraces with features that may include outdoor cabinetry and optional grill, gas fireplace and awning; private elevators; hardwood floors on the main level, bedroom hallways and all stairs; designer kitchens; and two-car garages," EYA says.

A modern, landscaped public park is planned for the community, as well.

The company's mantra is "Life Within Walking Distance," and the new community will live up to that mantra thanks to its proximity to conveniences like groceries and Starbucks as well as the Capital Crescent/Georgetown Branch Trail, which runs adjacent to the community's location. New mixed-use developments are also in the process of being planned surrounding the new Purple Line light-rail station.

Construction on the first initial units is expected to commence this fall, and EYA estimates new owners will be able to start moving in during the spring of 2017.

An EYA press release indicates the units' prices will range from $1.475 million to $1.745 million.

The Brownstones at Chevy Chase Lake sales office opens this Saturday, June 25, from noon to 4 p.m. The office will then be open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, visit www.eya.com/chevy-chase-lake.
