Missing Bethesda Woman Found Dead: Police

Missing Bethesda woman Vanessa Mallory Kotz, 42, was found deceased, police said.

(Updated at 1:24 p.m. Tuesday): BETHESDA, MD — Vanessa Mallory Kotz was found dead, police announced Tuesday afternoon.

There is no foul play suspected in her death, a police statement said.

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing Bethesda woman who was last seen Saturday morning.

Vanessa Mallory Kotz, 42, was last seen by family at about 10 a.m. when she left her Battery Lane home on foot, police said. Kotz was on her way to a scheduled doctor’s appointment and detectives are working to find out if she ever arrived.

Police describe Kotz as a white female, 5’2” and weighs 170 pounds. She has blonde hair, brown eyes and wears glasses. She has a tattoo on her left shoulder and a tattoo on her right wrist, police said.
