The metroBethesda Rotary Club turned an empty apartment into a new home over the weekend for a refugee family soon arriving from El Salvador. Rotary volunteers moved furniture and household items donated by A Wider Circle and numerous area residents into a two-bedroom apartment. Cleaning products, school supplies and artwork were included. "This is part of an ongoing refugee resettlement project that has been adopted by metroBethesda Rotary," said president Rob Mercer. The Club works with Lutheran Social Services to provide a home for arriving families.
